Day 19: Arrival in Prague

Day 19: Arrival in Prague

I should have known that something like this was bound to happen eventually. I was falling asleep as I wrote this last night, and without realizing it until the morning, I did fall asleep. So technically I missed a day, but I'm still going to write about yesterday and today, so just think of it as getting two posts today to make up for it.

One of the first things I noticed when I arrived in Prague, was how many people have tiny dogs. When I say tiny dogs I don't mean small dogs. I mean the kind of dog you are afraid you will step on. One person was even brave enough to let his tiny dog walk down the sidewalk without a leash. I would be so nervous to let a dog that small off on its own.

Other than that, Prague seems like a pretty awesome city. I've only been here one night so far, so I still have a lot to learn, but my AirBnB host did do a map overview with me when I arrived. The apartment and my host are very nice and I'm looking forward to my stay. I'll take some pictures of my room for a later post, but I'm too tired and lazy to do it now. Plus I want to get this post out as soon as I can so it's not late.

After checking in and meeting my host, I went out to find dinner. I wandered the streets with the map she gave me and a few circled suggestions. I eventually found something at a burger place before finally heading back, tired and ready to sleep.

When I got back my host was in the kitchen having drinks with three other guests who were also staying in rooms in the apartment. I don't quite remember all of their names, but I'll get to know them better as my stay continues.

I sat for a little while with them, mostly listening to what they talked about. Which was mostly tequila. But eventually everyone headed to sleep, and I did the same. This is when I started to write this blog post, but didn't finish it. But it's here now, and that's the important part.

I'm looking forward to spending my first day in Prague. There are a lot of sights to see, I just have to figure out which ones I want to see first.

Thanks for reading and here's to tomorrow.

**Side note: the thumbnail image is from yesterday, mainly because I don't have any interesting photos from the day of travel. I know putting it right next to the title "Arriving in Prague" makes it seem like the photo is from Prague, but it is not. Wanted to clear that up.
